Another place we are recommended when we mentioned we are going to Cape Cod Chatham so we head there. It’s much nicer than its UK namesake. We spend some times wandering round the various shops including Ducks in the Window a whole shop devoted to rubber ducks. There is a Christopher, Eric, Adrian and Brooke duck but no Victoria 😞. We end in an Old Fashioned Variety store.. which Chris describes like a pound shop before heading North to the National Seashore National Park.

On route we stop for a spot of lunch at The Knack in Orleans on route 28. We order through a window, Chris goes for the Cheese Burger I opt for Fish Tacos. They are delicious, probably the best we have food we have eaten since arriving on the Cod.

We start our tour of the national seashore at the Coast guard beach, where we meet 2 friendly park rangers, we have a chat about the UK and then they recommend some other stops on the national seashore

After a quick walk on the beach we drive to the next stop the nassut light house, the light house was built after a public petition from a result of a number of ship accidents. Where it resides today isn’t it’s original site, it has been moved a number of times due to coastal erosion. A short walk through the woods we find the 3 sisters light houses. These lighthouses were situated up the Cod, but have been moved to their current location due to erosion. Nasset light house beach also is the home to an unassuming cabin that was important in transatlantic wired communications between Europe and America.

Further up the coast we arrive at Marconi wireless station. The site of the 1st transatlantic wireless communication between Roosevelt and Henry VII.

The weather is starting to turn, so we decide to head back to the hotel before heading out to dinner at the Mad Minnow. We spend the evening sipping delicious cocktails and eating good food
