202 miles down, we finish our long day in Springfield, Illinois. Arriving later than planned, we end up at a microbrewery for a late night meal and one of the beers brewed on site. So that’s 2 Buffalo Chicken Horseshoes.. And a couple of Mother Road APAs and Belgian Style IPAs. What’s a horse shoe?
Sad to be leaving Chicago so soon, but the trip must go on! Here’s a few pics from the camera yesterday… And our final stop before leaving, breakfast at Lou Mitchell’s, where your coffee cup is always full!
When Chris and I were planning this trip due to time constraints we decided to only spend 1 night in Chicago…so we had to fit as much as we could into a short period of time, here goes…. A big Fountain, a massive lake, Blues music festival,two parks, a shiny giant bean, Chicago style hotdogs…don’t ask for ketchup! Deep dish pizza, a really tall tower and we did look down, break dancing, a homeless man, lots and lots stunning architecture,…
