The day started out with a trip to the unofficial Mcdonalds museum at the site of the 1st ever Mcdonalds resturant.

The real McDonalds nearby now says over 99 billion sold!

Then we set off for the final time.Down route 66 through LA to Santa Monica.  The journey was the polar opposite from the previous days journey through the desert..fast paced, busy will a lot of impatient drivers.  Chris kept his cool and we made it to the end of route 66 and our final stop Santa Monica. Having clocked up many hours playing GTA 5 (set in the ‘fictional’ Los Santos…) Hes a natural!

End of the trial..and sadly our holiday

We took a walk down to Venice, where I was the focus of a rap song…”To the girl in the fedora I wonder if your name is Laura”  it won’t be winning any awards soon.

We soak up the So Cal atmosphere, watching the local skateboarders Chris shares his dream, that if only he had been born in LA he would have been a skateboarder!

We take a stroll back up the beach with the Pacific Ocean lapping at our feet. Heading for Santa Monica Pier.

And we finish the night with a good old fashioned fun fair on the pier. Seeing LA and by night from the Ferris wheel and roller coaster.
