And don’t forget Winona!
Leaving Gallup and New Mexico behind we were soon in Arizona.
Most of the day was spent exploring the Painted Desert and Petrified forest. We drove the 26 mile route stopping of at the various waypoints along they way including doing a few walks. It is extremely hard to put into words the beauty of the area and I am not sure the pictures will do it justice. But there was a lot of wows from me as we drove round.
Leaving the petrified forested we headed to the Meteor Crater stopping via Holbrook to walk..OK be photographed with dinasours and to stand on the corner in Winslow Arizona.
The Meteror crater was big!
On route to our hotel we were reminded of the song “(get your kicks on) Route 66” and the lyric don’t forget Winona, I will forget Winona…their was nothing and I mean nothing there!!!
Today was HOT.. (Too hot for my poor fair skin even with factor 50s un cream 🙁 )The car registered the maximum temp as 99 degrees F ( I let you calcuate that in normal measurements) the first thing we did was hit the pool. Followed to the hotel bar for some food where I was introduced to a blue moon milkshake.

Blue Moon as in Blue Moon ? and Milkshake as in Milkshake ?
