Seattle!

No we haven’t extended the holiday, now reliant on planes and the rather useless BA to get us home, we are currently waiting in Sea Tac airport waiting to transfer home!

So in the meantime what did we do yesterday?

Deciding that we’d done enough driving, the theme park was off the cards, so a bus trip taking in the sights of LA, including a stop at Hollywood to see the walk of fame and Chinese Theatre.

We stop at our favourite reasurant in the US, again!

Having had enough of Hollywood, we return to Santa Monica and brave the waves of the sea!

Dinner is at the local Blue Taco, very nice Mexican and we get a feel for a Friday night in Santa Monica, as we are right on the main street overlooking the beach. We meet a local, he’s happy to hear we didn’t do the tour of the stars homes, annoyed at tourists who keep snapping a photo of him!

A few marghitas later we decide riding the Santa Monica West Roller Coaster is a good idea. Not before stopping at a hut on the pier selling Route 66 souvenirs. After a long chat, with a guy who turns out to be Vice President of the Route 66 association West! We have our offical Route 66 completion certificate.

And yes we did the coaster again and manage to not see our dinner again!
