We’re not in Kanas any more!

We’re not in Kanas any more!

Its been a long 2 days.

Tuesday started with a trip up the Saint Louis arch.  You travel to the top in a small pod, it was a bit hair raising!

Leaving St Louis we stopped off for some Ted Drewes Frozen Custard… Keeping in the spirit of the road we had “root 66” (root beer and malt chocolate)  flavour and I must say it was quite yummy!

Today was my 1st time driving and I must say I am a natural!

On route we stopped at various route 66 attractions including a giant rocking chair before finally reaching our Motel in Springfield Missouri.

On Wednesday we had to travel one of our longest distances  to Oklahoma city. So an early start was in order.

We soon left Missouri and entered Kansas

In Galena  we met an interesting character!

As there is only 13 miles of route 66 in Kansas we were soon in Oklahoma.

Chris especially liked one of the locals
